Do you think Dr.Mallika is negative or an obsessed lover?

I think she is an obsessed lover. She isn't a vamp as vamps don't realize their mistakes and try to embark upon a new journey. Dr.Mallika has a nice soul and is a good human being. Though she has resorted to gruesome methods to get back Dr. Ashutosh, she is now repenting for her misdeeds.

What would you advise Dr.Mallika if you met her?

I would advise her to forget about Dr.Ashutosh and get herself a new man. However that is easier said than done. She is after all a woman with a fragile heart. For any woman it isn't easy to stop loving the man she has loved for over 13 years. She should however now realize that Dr.Ashutosh is happily married and in love with Dr.Nidhi.

I would advise her to seek the help of a mental health professional. Dr.Mallika after all doesn't have a family and friends which is making it all the more difficult for her to get over Dr.Ashutosh.

Do you feel empathy for Dr.Mallika?

As a woman I do feel empathetic towards her. I however feel that women should be stronger.

Is Dr.Mallika pregnant with Dr.Ashutosh's child?

I wish Dr.Mallika is carrying Dr.Ashutosh's child. I am sure that would make her happy. It would add spice to the show.

Are you happy that the show is running at the 11pm slot from Monday to Thursday?

As actors we are happy with the Monday to Thursday format as there is less stress and we can keep a bank. We always had better TRP at the 11pm slot. Many working women however miss the show as they go to bed by 10:30pm and as they have to wake up early to go to work.

Which films are you doing now?

I am doing a film starring Shatrughan Sinha and Rajeev Khandelwal. I am of course doing commercials. I would like to produce fiction shows for TV in future.

Do you think Indian TV has changed for the better over the years?

Indian television is now far less regressive. We don't exaggerate all that much anymore. We have strong working women on TV shows. However there is still room for improvement.

Which historical character would you like to play?

I would like to play Umrao Jaan. Essaying this role will give me great scope as an actor. Her entire life was very interesting- from childhood to adolescence to adulthood. Her life had a lot of emotion, glamour, intrigue and exoticness. She was a strong woman and gifted singer.

What kind of social work would you like to be involved in?

I would like to do volunteer work supporting senior citizens. They get very lonely if they don't have a family at an old age. I feel a lot for them and wish to reach out to them.
