I was speechless and just kept looking at Aamir Khan: Supriya Shukla

It’s that time of the year once again when Zee TV acknowledges the contributions of innumerable actors, directors, producers, creative teams, and technicians who work round the clock to bring you all your favourite daily primetime shows with the celebration of ‘Zee Rishtey Awards. The awards show will be a mega spectacle that will celebrate the deeply cherished relationships viewers share with their favourite characters, and they, in turn, share with their respective show families and above all else, the special Rishta Zee TV, as a channel, shares with its loyal audiences through a grand 'Rishton Ka Tyohaar’.  To celebrate this special bond with its audience, the channel also gave viewers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dance with their favorite actors. 

Zee TV kickstarted the hunt for its actors’ biggest fans and auditioned several people from different parts of the country. The top 15 then battled it out in front of our special judges, and seven lucky fans ended up getting a special ‘Ticket to the Tyohaar.’ The panel of judges included Jaya Maa (Rakhshanda Khan), Sarla Maa (Supriya Shukla), Anubha (Vaishnavi Macdonald), Ranbir (Krishna Kaul) and Mallishka (Maera Misshra) and they judged the participants on the basis of their talent and love for their respective favourite celebrities. While the seven contestants will truly win your hearts, it was Sarla Maa’s surprising confession that left everyone beaming with joy. 

During the ‘Rishta Manzoor Hai’ episode, when Sarla Maa (Supriya Shukla) was asked if she ever had a fan moment, the actress revealed how she has always admired Aamir Khan. She went on to reveal how she was left completely awestruck when she got a chance to act with him in an advertisement. 

Talking about her fan moment, Supriya Shukla mentioned, “The movie ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ was released when I was very young and since then, I have been a huge fan of Aamir Khan. In fact, I used to wish that he passes by my school someday. Unfortunately, that never happened. After years, when I shifted to Mumbai and started working in ads, I got a call saying I have to work on a commercial with Aamir Khan. I was over the moon because I was finally going to meet him. But like a starstruck kid, on the day of the shoot, I was speechless, in fact I just couldn’t say my lines. My director was like Supriya just speak! But I just kept looking at Aamir without uttering a word!” 

Isn’t that adorable? But that’s not it! After she mentioned about her fan moment, she also mentioned how she would have loved to perform something with him too, but she couldn’t. That’s when Krishna Kaul offered to act like Aamir Khan, and they danced to the song ‘Aati Kya Khandala.’
