I want to play Vivaan DIFFERENTLY this time - Paras Arora

Colors' Udaan surprised its loyal fans when the makers roped in actor Paras Arora once again.

It can be recalled that Paras, who played the lead role of Vivaan alongside actors Vijayendra Kumeria, Meera Deosthale and Vidhi Pandya, made an exit from the show owing to creative dissatisfaction. His exit happened mutually and the actor's exit departure was left open-ended.

So is Paras' 'creative hunger' being satisfied this time? Says the actor, "Absolutely. This time the audience will see a very different Vivaan. He will be more complex and very layered. And in terms of looks too, my character will be seen with an overgrown beard and hair with really long nails. Basically, he'll return in a disheveled state."

We have already seen Paras play all kinds of roles as Vivaan in the show. He was initially seen as a drug addict and grey character, then he turned positive and romantic and lastly he even played the bad guy. So how will the audience see Vivaan as this time?

To this Paras answered, "As you mentioned above, I have sort of played Vivaan with varied shades and I'd like to play him differently now. Vivaan will be left free by his captivators and he will make his way back into the lives of Suraj (Vijayendra Kumeria), Chakor (Meera Deosthale) and Imli (Vidhi Pandya)."

He continued, "He will be shaken up and will want to seek answers like who kidnapped him and why. Above all, he'd want to know as to why they've set him free now. He will also be a little hurt with the fact that nobody came to his rescue."

With a different get up to sport, Vivaan told us that it took him 2 hours to physically get into character. But is he a method actor? How does he mentally get into the role of this Vivaan?

"Honestly, I am not a method actor. With me, it's like once I grasp my character, I can switch on and off as and when the cameras are on and off. But here, I need to get into the state and hence till I grasp my character, I have been maintaining my distance from the rest of the cast. I keep to myself and spend time alone to go into that zone."

The actor added, "But once I get the hang of my character, I'll be back to being my prankster self on the sets."

All said and done, the cast is very happy to have Paras back on the sets and happy fans are awaiting the mystery of Vivaan kept captive to unfold, eagerly.
