Newstown was in for a rude shock after learning about the sudden revelation of how popular comedian, Siddharth Sagar was missing from the block for several months, and that there are no traces of the man. And in no time, the news made it to the headlines of every newspaper and website.
In wake of this, a lot of speculation surfaced till Siddharth himself came forward and posted a video on his instagram account about how he will address all the qualms and clear the air when the time is right.
And finally, Siddharth decided to reveal everything about his 'disappearance' and a lot more.
Siddharth mentioned how he was always close to his mother, but things changed after a man called, Suyyash Gadgil entered his mother's life (his mother and father separated over 20 years ago).
Talking about what he went through, Siddharth said that he realised he was depressed and his speech started slurring eventually leading him to a bad zone. His parents went on to put him on medication, telling him that he is suffering from a bipolar disease, while he realised he doesn't have any symptoms of the same. It was only when the property issues cropped up that he came to know that he has no money on his name, as he had not paid any attention to it initially.
Siddharth mentioned how he left home and got abused to certain substances and soon realized that he is doing things wrong, following which he came back home to tell his mother that he wants to get admitted to a rehab.
But unfortunately, he was also beaten at the rehab center by four-five people, and he would bleed and lose consciousness. Later, he managed to connect with his managers, who pulled him after a month.
While, he thought things would get better, it only got worse with time, as he would regularly fight with Suyyash, following which he went on to file a NC (non-cognisable) report, because he would fear for his life and well-being. The same came true, when once he was picked up while travelling from Goa and was thrown into a mental asylum. There, he was tortured and treated for ailments, he did not even have.
As the facility turned out to be expensive, Siddharth's mother shifted him to another center called Asha Ki Kiran, and that is where he was encouraged to start things afresh.
He concluded by saying that he is now looking for work and while, he wishes the best for his family, he would still like to maintain a distance from them.
Well, all's well that ends well. Also, we salute the courage showed by Siddharth during such painful times and wish that he receives happiness and peace in the days to come. And hoping that the actor only witnesses good times and bounces back like never before.
