I never thought that Jodha Akbar will be the turning point of my career: Lavina Tondon

Lavina Tondon shares her experience about auditions and bagging the historical show Jodha Akbar.

Sundays are special so this time we have pretty actress Lavina Tondon who essays the role of Rukaiya Begum in Zee TV's popular show Jodha Akbar. Here is Lavina sharing her experience of auditioning for shows.

Talking about her first experience she says,  "My first audition was for Tum Bin Jaaon Kahan on Zee TV. The casting director wanted a kid who had a curly hair and that's how I grabbed that opportunity because I too have a curly hair and got selected for the show as a child actor. After getting selected I remember I had to do my eyebrows, I was told to put lenses so it was a very different experience for me ."

So how was Lavina's audition experience? She says,  "There was a time I was continuously giving auditions.  I used to give auditions twice or thrice in a week but nothing materialized. During this period my mother supported me a lot, she always encouraged me for acting. She has been like a pillar of strength for me always throughout my career .

How did she bag Jodha Akbar? "I was auditioning for Ekta Kapoor's other show and someone informed me about Jodha Akbar. I went for auditions and I got selected for the role of Begum Rukaiya. I never had the idea that this will be the turning point of my career."
