Actor Kunal Verma, who recently returned to television after a seven-year hiatus, currently portrays Vihan in the popular Star Plus show Jhanak. While his career has had its share of highlights, it is his personal life that has significantly influenced his perspective in recent years.
Now a father to his son Krishav, Verma has learned to balance his professional and family responsibilities. "Work matters to me, but being a good person and spending quality time with my family is equally important," he shares. His break from television, particularly following Krishav's birth, gave him the opportunity to reassess his priorities. "I’ve cherished the time I spent at home, even taking over the kitchen at times. It’s been a truly rewarding experience," he says with a smile.
The actor acknowledges that juggling work and family life isn’t always easy. "I miss being with Krishav, especially now that I’ve resumed long working hours. But I remind myself it’s necessary. The time I spent at home helped me grow personally, and now I’m grateful to be back in the professional space," he explains. Verma’s decision to return to television with Jhanak wasn’t just about his career but also about being a role model for his son. "I want to teach him the value of hard work and dedication. Even during my time away from work, I stayed focused on self-improvement—auditioning, reading scripts, and honing my skills," he says.
Despite the demanding schedule of the television industry, Verma has gained a fresh perspective. "Television in India involves long hours and a lot of commitment, but the audience’s love and feedback keep me motivated. I’m happy to be back, working with such an incredible team," he remarks.
His journey back to acting has been a learning experience, both personally and professionally. "Time is the greatest healer. Patience is essential, and everything happens at the right time. Family will always be my priority, but I’ve learned to balance my personal and professional lives," he reflects.
As Jhanak continues to captivate audiences, Kunal Verma is grateful for the opportunity to be part of a meaningful project while embracing his role as a father. "Both phases—my time away from work and now, being back—are equally important. I give my all to everything I do, whether it’s my family or my career," he concludes, expressing gratitude for the path ahead.
