How has the journey of acting been?
I was not serious about acting to start with. I was not doing much and I never had a stellar academic career. Acting for me was a was to earn money. I started finding it interesting and now have a lot of respect for it.
If you were not an actor what would you be?
I love dancing and painting. So, I believe one of my hobbies would have translated in to my profession. I'm also very fond of racing and have participated in a few races.
Your role as Tracker in Pyaar Kii yeh ek Kahaani is very different to your role of Laali Lipistick in Kairee-Rishta Khatta Meetha. What prompted you to take up the character?
I have never played a character where I have to wear a saree and I was not too happy. The production team convinced me and the decision was taken in a day because we had to leave for Gwalior. I was not too pleased with my line 'Aap toh mera nature jaante hi ho' but again Production house had a lot of faith and it has worked out quite well.
Who are your friends from the industry?
Prachee Pathak from the current show. From my last show I bonded really well with Sukirti Khandpal and Priya Wal.
What is your favorite quote?
Take life as it comes.
Do you look at yourself a lot in the mirror?
Not really. Contrary to the characters I play , I'm really laid back in life.
One dream role that you would want to do,
I pick up what I like. I should be able to relate to the character I play. It is very important for me to be convinced.
If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do?
I'd straight gun for the politicians and bring to the world their dirty secrets!
Describe your dream man.
The guy should be balanced. The litmus test will be driving in Mumbai €" Any guy who can drive in Mumbai without losing his cool will be my dream man. If Mumbai traffic doesn't bother him, then I'm absolutely sure that he will be able to tolerate me (Laugh!)
Are you fond of traveling?
I love travelling. As soon as a show gets over , I pick my bag and set off. I have taken quite a few spontaneous trips with Priya Wal. We left for Goa on 31st December night and from there travelled to Gokarna, Kerala, Coimbatore.
