I love to do something challenging and new: Charu Asopa

Pretty and talented actress Charu Asopa, who is all set to be seen on Sphere Origins' upcoming show Mere Angne Mein Tumhara Kya Kaam Hai, has always been keen on taking up challenging roles.

Recently, Charu was seen as a cadet on Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum and now she has got another challenging role to essay on the upcoming show Mere Angane Mein. In a candid conversation with TellyBuzz, Charu shares about her character on the show and much more.

Talking about her character on the show, she said, "I am essaying the character of Preeti on the show, who is Shivam's younger sister. She stammers whenever she is too happy or sad. She also stammers whenever she lies. I can relate myself to the character and even I am a simple and an innocent girl in real. I can never lie! My close ones can easily catch me whenever I am lying."

The actress is having a good time shooting for the show and enjoying the disciplines that prevails on the sets. She shares, "We all are enjoying a lot together. We have become good friends and we have fun dancing in our makeup rooms while we get some free time on the sets. Shooting with a multi camera setup is quite interesting. Initially, I used to think that it would be difficult but it's very easy. It saves our time as everything happens in just one take without any cuts in between. The rules and the discipline on the sets are amazing. Everything happens on time - from our first scene to our pack up. The best part is that we get an off on Sundays."

When we asked Charu as what made her opt for the show, she said, "I liked my track on the show and the actors as well as the storyline is good. When I heard about the multi camera setup on the show, I became very excited as it was something new that I haven't done before. Coming to my character on the show, I haven't played a character like this who stammers. Having done a challenging role of Roma on Diya Aur Baati Hum, it's another challenging character for me. I love to do something challenging and new."
