I haven't played a character like this before: Parth Samthaan on his big Bollywood debut

The heartthrob of Indian television; Parth Samthaan has been delivering quite some hit music albums for some time now. We got an opportunity to get into a conversation with the 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan' actor at the press meet of his song and he spoke at length about the song and his big Bollywood debut.

The original 'Hothon pe bas' starred Kajol and Saif and their chemistry in the song was widely appreciated. We asked Parth if he had any sort of apprehensions before doing the song since the original song was a huge hit, and the actor said, ''On the contrary, we felt a sense of excitement. See, we are very positive people and we think that okay you know what we are actually getting a chance to recreate something which we have grown up watching. So we were overwhelmed by it and at the same time we decided to take the responsibility of challenging ourselves as artists and that is what we are happy about.''

We further asked Parth to spill some details on his big Bollywood debut to which the actor replied, ''Well, my character in the film is completely different from whatever I have done on television until now. My character for a change is not that of a romantic boy. It is more in the zone of comedy. The film will be a family drama and comedy and the story of the film is based in Delhi. I had a great time working with Sanjay Dutt sir and of course Raveena mam too, they were very sweet and warm to me. The songs of the film are looking beautiful, and everything in the film is beautifully placed. We are yet to finish the shoot of one song which will be a wedding song. I am really excited about the release.''

Well, my character in the film is completely different from whatever I have done on television until now. My character for a change is not that of a romantic boy. It is more in the zone of comedy. The film will be a family drama and comedy and the story of the film is based in Delhi.
