Kunwar Amarjeet Singh has been living in Mumbai since many years now. But it is only this year that he brought Ganpati Bappa home. He intended to keep Bappa for a day but could not part ways with him and has now decided to keep him for all 5 days.
Seeing his and "good friend" Charlie Chauhan's excitement for this year's 11 days Ganesh festival, we buzzed Kunwar and got talking to him about his love for Bappa and more.
Says Kunwar, "This is the first time that Bappa is home and I am very very excited about it. I have been attached to him since my childhood but was never able to get him home here in Mumbai. But I finally did it this year. "
Did you know that Kunwar was up at the crack of dawn cooking prasad for his Ganpati Bappa? "Yes, I had cooked everything on my own right from the kheer to the halwa and even the puri sabzi. I will try and cook some or the other different bhog for him every day till he is here. I stay alone so it is all on me now. But I do not mind as there is a lot of energy and I get amazing vibes from the lord."
Charlie Chauhan too is super excited for Ganpati this year that her excitement was evident from her social media posts and videos. About that, Kunwar said, "Yes. It is her first year with Ganpati Bappa. But as she is from Shimla and Ganesh Chaturthi is not celebrated there, she is excited. She has this amazing connect with Lord Ganpati. She is behaving like a small kid, full of excitement."
Kunwar also shared his fond memories attached to Ganesh Chaturthi. "I started my dancing career during the Ganesh Chaturthi days for the first time and for many years I had danced at Ganesh Utsavs, so I guess it's due to his blessing only, that I have reached where I am today in my life," concludes Kunwar.
Looks like this year's Bappa is bringing in a lot of happiness to both Kunwar and Charlie. Charlie rings in her 26th birthday today and coincidentally it falls during the 11-day long festival of Ganpati. And Charlie, as Kunwar said, is a Ganesh Bhakt, brought in her birthday in the presence of Ganpati Bappa and a few of her closest pals at Kunwar's home.
The actress also performed the lord's pooja wearing something special. Take a look.
Well, now that the caption says it all, do we smell some future planning out here? But hey, it's just our assumption.
