Amit Sana, one of the most popular finalists of Indian Idol 1 is back with his new album, ‘Yaadein’.

Yaadein is a trip in nostalgia for Amit that takes him right from Bhilai (his hometown) to the Indian Idol days. Talking about the album which has eight original sound tracks, he says, “My philosophy of music is that listeners should be transported to a different world, relax and forget everything. The reactions which I am getting from Yaadein are quite positive and people like my new singing style which I have changed a lot since my Idol days”, says Amit.
These days, you cannot think of an album without the video and thus for the title track Amit has also acted in the video. So how was the feeling facing camera after so many years? “Well, I was much more confident and comfortable in front of the camera”, smiles Amit. Like his fellow contestants Abhijeet, Rahul and Amit Tandon, will he also move to acting and anchoring? “Not really. My main aim is to establish myself as a successful rock star. I always wanted to be that. I never gave attention to film songs. Having said that, if a good role comes my way, I will definitely grab the opportunity”, says the Computer Engineer.
Apparently, the first runner up of the first popular reality show on Indian television has stopped watching them. The reason, as he states, "I do watch reality shows but only the finals. Because I hate seeing participants and their relatives cry. It reminds me of my Indian Idol days....That way watching a final is safer -- you know that the winner is going to be one of the two!"
