"I am very similar to my on-screen character on Lajwanti."- Ankita Sharma

Similar is the case with newbie Ankita Sharma. An engineer by profession who paved her way gracefully into the Telly industry and now she is all set to mark her debut with Zee TV's Lajwanti. 

Let's get to know more about Ankita on how she bagged her debut show.

Ankita stated, "Apart from being an engineer, I am a classical dancer by profession and I have done many classical shows during which I also shot for a short film after a friend referred me. This film was nominated in the Toronto Film Festival and this is when I started looking out for more options in this field."

The actor also mentioned of how she never imagined herself being a part of such a big banner project.

She averred, "I was auditioning for various shows in Chandigarh and that is when I bagged Lajwanti. I had to do a lot of homework to get into the skin of the character and the first thing I did was to read the book of the same name. I now find a lot of similarities between me and my on-screen character."

Speaking about the inspiration she draws from the cast she mentioned of how her co-star Sid Makkar has been of great help to help her groom for the character and her director.
