'I am confident that my new show will do well' - Archana Taide

Archana Taide who essays the role of the lead protagonist in Sony's new show Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah talks about her rusty look, the uniqueness of the show and much more...

Archana Taide who was lately seen in Colors Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg expresses her distress on the serial going off air and also shares the excitement and aspirations attached to her new on Sony, Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah, along with dealings on personal front..

Here is Archana in a candid interview with TellyBuzz..

This is your second serial after Swarg, how's the experience?
The whole experience working for both the serials has been wonderful. In Swarg I depicted the typical daughter-in-law (Bahu) and in this serial Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah, I'm going to essay the character of an Indian daughter which I'm from birth too; so I hope this journey continues for a long time.

For this young look of Anmol, did you had to reduce a lot of weight?
Not much really. It's just that previously in a saree I used to look more mature and this nice-fitting salwar gives me a young look; I have just reduced 2-3 kilos not more (smiles).

Tell us something about your new look?
This is a completely new rusty look, as I portray the character of a girl from Chattisgarh. To add to the feel I have also been given a typical hair-do, that of plaits to my hair which I love.

What was the idea behind taking up this role?
Firstly it was a very different and fresh concept; and secondly I had already portrayed myself as an idealistic daughter-in-law, so wanted to try some variant role. Also when I heard about how the character transition takes place from a daughter to mentally being a mother and taking care of the father, I felt it as very challenging.

As per the past trends fictional shows haven't made a mark on Sony TV so what do you expect from this show?
Yes that may have been the trend, but I think Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah will really be a turnover for the channel and I'm very confident it will do well.

Tell us something about the outdoor shoot that happened for this show?
Yes we have shot in a village called Shingoli for a week; we have actually shot in coal mines in scorching heat on bare foot. Along with us it was a unique experience for the villagers also because they had never witnessed a shooting of this scale before, so we had to face certain problems too but as actors we are ready to do anything for the goodwill of the show. And there are plans of going back to the same location for shoot again, and that excites me.

There are so many senior co-actors in the serial so how has been the experience?
Again it has been an amazing experience. I had never thought that I would get an opportunity to work with such senior actors like Pramodji, Varun Badola at such an early stage. They all support me, help me and the tuning with my on-screen father is very smooth and nice.

What's unique about the father and daughter relation portrayed in the serial?
They are same as any traditional daughter and father relationship that exists in society; the only difference is that the daughter in the serial has a struggle or fight to restore her father's pride which stands apart from the common notions.

You have worked with popular production houses so tell us something about it?
Yes my first break was with Balaji Telefilms, then it was with Rajan Shahi's Directors Cut and now it's the turn of Swastik Pictures (smiles) and my experience with all three has been exhilarating.

So how are things proceeding on personal front with Pracheen Chauhan? Any marriage plans in near future?
(smiles) As of now we are just living the moment; we haven't planned anything for the future as such. And about marriage we will inform you people as things happen.

So has your hunt for a house in the city finally ended?
Yes I have a got a house for myself at Mira Road as my present set is at Naigaon. Pracheen helped me a lot in finding an apt place and on a personal front he had to help me (smiles).

Pracheen is very sad about Swarg going off air, so what's your comment on it?
I'm equally sad with the news of Swarg going off air coming out. It was my first serial as a lead it's like a baby to me and it has given me very good friends. But finally every serial has to end some day or the other, so that's ok.

Any message for our website fans.
The only message from my side would be to please watch me in the new show and get me to the number one position on celebrity ranking chart on the website. Thank you so much for the constant love and support. I do visit the website quite often, and check out even the discussion forums and it feels great to read the positive comments about myself. Thank a lot for that.
