'Maidaan's new anthem 'Team India Hai Hum' emanates the spirit of patriotism and valour

The trailer of the movie "Maidaan," starring Ajay Devgn, has sparked significant excitement with its high-energy presentation, offering a sneak peek into the remarkable true story of Coach Syed Abdul Rahim, an unsung hero, and his Indian Football Team's historic achievements often overlooked by the world. A new track from the film called "Team India Hain Hum" has been released by the creators, serving as an anthem celebrating the dedication of athletes who strive to bring pride to India.

This anthem encapsulates the emotions, vigor, and thrill experienced by every Indian athlete while representing the nation's flag—a feeling that unifies the entire country in their support. "Team India Hain Hum" has been crafted by the legendary AR Rahman, featuring vocals by AR Rahman and Nakul Abhyankar, with lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir, Slow Cheeta, and Davinder Singh.

Talking about the spirit of Team India Hain Hum displayed through this incredible song, director Amit Ravindernath Sharma shares, "We are all very close to the story of the film which encompasses an array of emotions including perseverance, a never give up attitude and a unified love for the nation. I wanted to bring forth this emotion through a song and that’s how Team India Hain Hum was born. Sportsman or not, this song is a call-out to the whole nation to stand as one."

Maidaan also features also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh. Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla, screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively, Music is by AR Rahman and Lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. The film is all set to release worldwide in theatres this Eid, 2024 on 10th April 2024 also in IMAX.
