Vanshaj: Neel gets shot by the kidnappers while trying to escape

In Sony SAB's 'Vanshaj,' Yuvika Mahajan (Anjali Tatrari) challenges the gender norms of inheritance, leading to a power struggle with her cousin, Digvijay "DJ" Mahajan (Mahir Pandhi). The series has taken a fresh turn with the introduction of the Talwar family, the archrivals of the Mahajans. As Yuvika prepares for a new beginning, a new figure, Yash (Shaleen Malhotra), enters her life, threatening to disrupt her peace.

In the recent episode, the Mahajan family is busy preparing for Yuvika and Neel's (Mohit Kumar) wedding when Yuvika learns that the Automotive Authority of India has denied her request for licenses to manufacture electric vehicles. Amidst the wedding celebrations, Yuvika manages to secure a major auction, competing directly with Yash. Meanwhile, the Talwar family faces a grim situation as it is revealed that Yash is suffering from a heart ailment and urgently needs a heart transplant.

In the upcoming episode of Vanshaj, as the day progresses, Neel sets out to fetch a gift for Yuvika, followed by Mudaliar's cronies. High-stakes build-up as Neel, Yuvika, and Yash's paths converge. As the wedding setup is in full swing with guests gathered and the pandits preparing for the phera ceremony, Yuvika, dressed ethereally in her bridal lehenga, anxiously waits for Neel at the window. Spotting Bhoomi, she inquires about Neel's whereabouts, to which Bhoomi reassures her with a smile. Meanwhile, Bhanu consults Vidur, who is on the phone with Neel. Neel, driving hurriedly, assures he will arrive soon. Bhanu announces the delay humorously and initiates the festivities with qawwals performing.

Neel speeds towards the wedding but is being tailed by Mudliar's cronies, who lay a spike strip on the road. During a sweet call with Yuvika, Neel's car hits the spikes and crashes into a tree. Neel emerges injured, seeking help from a car, only to be kidnapped by the masked cronies. Yuvika, restless and reassured by Bhoomi, is escorted to the ceremony as the qawwals sing. Concurrently, Yash is prepped for a heart transplant operation. The cronies dump Neel into their van, and another set of cronies inform DJ in jail about Neel's abduction. As a storm brews, Neel struggles against his captors who reveal they need his heart, not money. Neel is knocked unconscious, heightening the tension. Yuvika, emotional, waits for Neel. Neel regains consciousness, tries to escape, but is shot in the leg as he runs, collapsing dramatically, not understanding what to do next.
