Hiten Tejwani's fans troll Shardul Pandit; the Host clarifies his stance!

Never did MTV BCL host Shardul Pandit imagine that his morning would be full of abuses, threats and hate. And that too, all over a facebook live session that he did with dear friend, Arshi Khan.

Hiten Tejwani's fans bombarded Shardul on social media with countless hate messages and mails, so much so that the host had to shut them down before things escalated. Take a look at what Shardul had to say.

We called up Shardul to get to know the entire story and he told us, "Arshi and I did a live chat sometime ago, where I told Arshi something like (I do not even remember the exact conversation) that tumara age group 70 saal ka hai. Ab young logon pe dhyaan do. This was in reference to an elderly man on the sets of BCL hitting on Arshi. But these trolls who are absolutely vela took it upon themselves and assuming that I was referring to Hiten Tejwani as old here, took things out of context and started targeting me."

While BCL always puts Shardul on the target board (he's had run-ins with quite a few players in the previous season as well), Shardul felt it was necessary to clarify it to people that his statement did not mean any disrespect to Hiten Tejwani.

"I had made a video on how banning Pakistan artists was a silly move and I started getting messages like we'll burn you and we'll burn your family alive. I really wanted to put an end to this matter before it blew out of proportion," Shardul confessed.

Shardul also went on to reveal that he had even left Hiten Tejwani a text from his end, explaining the incident.

Shardul also mentioned that he has always had huge amount of respect for Hiten ever since he saw him in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Says Shardul, "I am a host and have to speak for 18 hours a day without a script. I can not act like a fanboy and say things like 'Hiten sir, I am a huge fan' while I am doing my job. I have to be professional."
