Here's the Amount Parineeti asked to return Jiju Nick's JOOTA!

Recently, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas exchanged vows in a grand style. The actress got hitched at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur where they had their Christian wedding on December 1 followed by a Hindu wedding the following day.

According to the reports, Nick made a classy entrance to marry the 'Desi Girl'. He came riding a regal horse carriage where PeeCee's mother Madhu Chopra performed an Aarti to welcome the groom. 

The reports also suggested that the Jonas men were dressed in traditional Indian wear, and sported sherwani and Rajasthani saafas while women donned lehengas cholis for the night. PeeCee's cousin Parineeti Chopra had promised to ask a huge amount for her Joota Chupia ceremony reportedly hid Jonas' shoes as per traditions and made it a point to ask Rs 5 lakh to return the same on behalf of every one of us from our National Jiju.

A closed source informed, "Both the families accepted and followed each other's customs wholeheartedly. During the Hindu wedding, Priyanka's younger sibling, Siddharth, explained every ritual and its significance to Nick's family. Siddharth and Nick's brothers Kevin, Joe and Frankie also had a fun-filled competition where they picked up the bride and groom to a certain height, right before the varmalas (garlands) were exchanged."  

Currently, the newlyweds along with their families are prepping for their reception in Delhi. The reception is expected to be attended by many dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
