Here’s how a tragedy led actor Kanwar Dhillon to sign Star Plus show ‘Pandya Store’

Star Plus show ‘Pandya Store’ is quite loved. While the entire cast is loved by the audiences, Shiva and Raavi played by Kanwar Dhillon and Alice Kaushik enjoys a special place in the viewers hearts and a massive fan-following. Shiva and Raavi’s love story has been quite unique and fans adore the duo a lot.

On 14th August 2022, actor Kanwar Dhillon completed 10 glorious years in the industry and he took to social media to celebrate the day. Kanwar interacted with his fans online with a LIVE session wherein he spoke at length about his struggles, being a part of Pandya Store, fitness and more.

Kanwar mentioned that he had gained fame with various shows and in the ninth year of his career, he signed Pandya Store which really gave him the push and he got more fame, popularity, appreciation and recognition. In the LIVE session, Kanwar went on to reveal about how ‘Pandya Store’ happened to him.

He said, “I was planning something big and major and that’s the reason why I was away from Television post ‘Internet Wala Love’ on Colors’ TV. I was working on a plan of action but that couldn’t materialize as I got my leg broken and had my plans were put to the back seat. And then ‘Pandya Store’s offer came and I decided to sign the show and I’m so glad I took it up”.

He also mentioned that while his first screen presence was in Channel V’s show ‘The Buddy Project’ but getting to play a prominent role on GEC Channel Colors’ show ‘Naa Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha’ was quite a big deal for him. He managed his college and the show which often got hectic but he pulled it off. In the LIVE session, he also stated that he never took his father, Deep Dhillon’s help to get work. He said, “I never asked my father to recommend me in the industry and I’m glad my father let me do everything on my own. Have I not done several auditions and got to learn from the struggles and failures, things wouldn’t have been the same”.
