Here are five similarities between Star Plus' ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ & ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'

Star Plus shows ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ are loved by many. Both the shows perform brilliantly on the TRP charts. 

India Forums has discovered few similarities between both the shows. Read below.

Separation leading to leap

In both ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlta Hai’ the lead couple got separated due to the circumstances post which the respective shows took a leap. Akshara and Sai start to live their respective lives with dignity while both Virat and Abhimanyu continue supporting their families and blaming their wives for almost all the problems.

Misunderstanding of moving on

In ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ Sai feels Virat moved on with Pakhi and have a baby while Virat feels Sai moved on with someone and has delievered a baby girl. He suspects Sai having soft corner for Jagtap. In ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, Abhimanyu learns about Akshara moving on and getting married to another man post- divorce.

Sudden change of negative characters into extremely positive one

In both the shows, post leap, viewers witnessed a total graph change in the characters of the antagonists. Pakhi and Aarohi’s characters changed overnight to become goody too shoes. While Pakhi took over the business of Chavan family and took it to another height over the years, Aarohi became a dotting daughter-in-law for the Birla household.

Female lead facing difficulties to survive in another location

In ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’, Sai shifts to Kankavli before leap while Akshara from ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ shifts to Kasoli along with Abhir and Abhimanyu. Sai faces opposition from the village’s males as Sai educates the woman while in YRKKH, Akshara faces major financial crisis to survive. Both leads face a lot of struggle.

Male leads being unaware of their babies

In ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, Akshu suffers a miscarriage post which Abhi and Akshu separates. The fate had a different plan as, from Akshu’s twin babies, one survives. Abhinav tries to inform Abhimanyu about his baby but he doesn’t respond well and thus Akshu announces getting married. While in ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’, Sai realizes that she’s pregnant only after separating with Virat. She takes charge of the baby and plans to be a single mother.

While these are few similarities, the story of both the shows have distinct approaches. Among the above, yet another similarity between the two shows is that the show is loved by many and the lead couples #SaiRat and #AbhiRa rule the hearts of the audiences.
