'Hera Pheri 3' reunion wasn't easy, my brother Sajid Nadiadwala played a key role in it, says Firoz Nadiadwala

After a wave of uncertainty and fan concerns, the much-loved Hera Pheri franchise is officially back. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala has confirmed that Hera Pheri 3 will feature the original trio—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. This announcement marks a major reversal following Paresh Rawal’s earlier departure from the project.

The return of the original cast follows behind-the-scenes efforts to mend creative and personal rifts. Speaking to the media, Firoz revealed that Sajid Nadiadwala and Ahmed Khan played a pivotal role in reuniting the team. “With the love, respect, and kind guidance of my brother Sajid Nadiadwala and Mr. Ahmed Khan, the Hera Pheri family is back together,” he shared, adding that Sajid invested several days in clearing misunderstandings.

Firoz also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Akshay Kumar, highlighting the actor’s willingness to bring everyone back on board. “Akshay ji has always been supportive. He didn’t hesitate to sit with Sajid, his childhood friend, to find a resolution. Our relationship goes back to 1996,” he said.

The franchise, which first launched in 2000 under the direction of Priyadarshan, went on to become one of Indian cinema’s most iconic comedies. Now, nearly two decades later, the third instalment is finally taking shape under the same director. Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal have also shown their commitment, ensuring that the team behind the original magic remains intact.

Paresh Rawal’s initial exit in May had raised questions about the future of the film. His return has now restored fan confidence. The producer hinted that the new film will stay true to the original’s spirit. “This will be another classic entertainer in the Hera Pheri franchise,” he promised.

While Firoz Nadiadwala is currently producing Welcome to the Jungle, Hera Pheri 3 is expected to begin filming in late 2025. With emotions and expectations riding high, the anticipation for the trio’s comeback is at an all-time peak.
