Be it the stammering and introvert, Varun from 'Remix', the cool dude cadet Yudi from 'Left Right Left' or the confident and smart Mohan Bhatnagar from 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha', actor Kunal Karan Kapoor has proved his versatility time and again by playing diverse roles throughout his career.

Today marks Kunal Karan Kapoor's birthday, where completes 34 years of age. Hence, we celebrate the journey of this talented actor who is currently missed on-screen, as he was last seen in 'Doli Armano Ki.'

A Mumbaikar by birth, Kunal has also been brought up in the city of dreams. The actor is known for taking unconventional decisions pertaining his life and career. He made his debut in a small role as the nerdy, introvert and stammering young boy, Varun in the hit teen show, 'Remix' back in 2004. His scenes with actor, Karan Wahi playing Ranveer Sisodhia were pivotal parts. Though he wasn't one of the leads, his portrayal of the character got him noticed and won him a lot of appreciation.

Soon after Remix, he starred in the popular youth based military drama show, 'Left Right Left.' He literally went through a 360-degree transformation from his character of Varun to a cool and carefree dude, Yadhuvansh Sahni aka Yudi. His role was instrumental in the show becoming a grand success and a cult in the following years.


Kunal is known to be a travel freak and synonymously loves photography. He confesses to be amongst those who don't plan each and everything in life and prefers to take things in the way they are presented.

After a stint in 'Maayka', Kunal played a negative role for the first time in his career in the show, 'Mann Kee Awaz Pratigya' which was widely appreciated and won him a lot of appreciation.

Known to take unconventional decisions, not many know, Kunal took a one-year sabbatical after Maayka deliberately to explore life and adapt a better perspective on things. In this break, he lived his life on his own terms and travelled a lot along with working with his friend Nikhil Chinnappa in video editing.

A man with simple beliefs and a simple life, Kunal has confessed a secret not everyone knew, that he believes his lucky number is 11.

His breakthrough as a lead actor came with the show, 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha' which made him an overnight sensation in the telly world. His portrayal of Mohan Bhatnagar developing a relationship with a widowed mother of two and their journey was loved by millions. The show was such a huge success that after the end of its first season, it became one of the first shows on Indian television to adopt the season-telecast system and came back with a Season 2 due to its popularity, which was equally successful. It also earned him his first ever Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role in Popular category in 2013 cementing his mark in the big league.

His last stint on television remains to be his role of Shaurya on the show, 'Doli Armano Ki' which was a treat for his fans as it was his first screen appearance since Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha ended.

The actor is popularly known as the 'King Of Expressions' where he steals always the show with his expressive portrayal of emotions, and we do not disagree!
