Welcome to the double birthday celebrations of two enigmatic Sonus; the melodious Sonu Niigam and hunky Sonu Sood.

Sonu Niigam was born on 30th July, 1973 to Agam Kumar Nigam and Shoba Nigam in Faridabad, Haryana, and has two siblings. He began his singing career when he was very young. At the age of four, he joined his father on a stage show where he sang Mohammad Rafi's popular numbers such as "Kya Hua Tera Vada" and started singing at weddings and parties. He later went on to be trained by the classical singer, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. 

Niigam's debut song was in the movie Janam (1990), which never released. This was followed by "Accha Sila Diya" from Sanam Bewafa (1995). However, it was "Sandese Ate Hai" from Border (1997) and "Yeh Dil Deewana" from Pardes (1997) that brought him to the limelight and in no time, he went on to become one of the top successful playback singer in India. He is one of those rare singers who has been privileged to work with almost all the top-rated music directors, be it A.R. Rahman or Sajid-Wajid. The talented singer has also started composing songs for films such as Singh Saab The Great (2013) and Jal (2014). He has also sung songs in all Indian regional languages, including Malayalam.

In recognition to his mesmerizing voice, Niigam has won a National Award for "Kal Ho Naa Ho", three Filmfare Awards, two Filmfare South Awards, four Screen Awards, three International Indian Academy Film Awards, three Zee Cine Awards, three MTV Immies Awards and many, many more.

Apart from playback singing, Niigam has acted in movies such as Kaamchor (1982), Taqdeer (1983) and Betaab (1983) as a child artist, Pyaara Dushman (1995), Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani (2002) and Love in Nepal (2004) as an adult. Along with singing and acting, Niigam has been campaigning for cancer, leprosy, women welfare and blindness. 

With regards to personal life, he is happily married to Madhurima and the couple have a son, Neevan Nigam born in 2007.

Sonu Sood was born on 30th July, 1973 in Moga, Punjab. He studied Electronic Engineering at Yeshwantrao College of Engineering, Nagpur. Although Sood started his career with the Tamil movie Kallazhagar (1999), it wasn't until the the Tamil movie Majnu (2001) that he was noticed for his craft.

In Bollywood, Sood is known for starring in movies such as Yuva (2004), Singh is Kinng (2008) and Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi (2008). However, it were the blockbusters Jodhaa Akbar (2008) and Dabangg (2010) that brought a major change to his career. The success of the movies lead him to star in hits such as Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baap (2011), Shootout at Wadala (2013) and R... Rajkumar (2013). The dashing star is soon to be seen in big films such as Entertainment (August 2014), Happy New Year (October 2014), Action Jackson (November 2014) and Gabbar (2015). 

In the regional cinema, the talented actor is a well-known name and has received greater recognition for his work in films such as Super (2005), Athadu (2005), Ashok (2006), Anjaneyulu (2009), Ek Niranjan (2009) Shakti (2011), Theenmar (2011), Kandireega (2011), Julai (2012) and Bhai (2013). 

In regards to personal life, Sood is happily married to Sonali and the couple have two sons, Ishaan and Ayaan.
