BollyCurry celebrates the birthday of two super-moms who have won
millions of hearts across the globe. We're talking about none other than
the gorgeous Shilpa Shetty Kundra and the veteran actress, Dimple
Kapadia.
Dimple
Kapadia was born on 8th June, 1957 to a Gujarati family. She studied at St. Joseph's Convent High School where she was spotted at
the age of 13 by Raj Kapoor, who then cast her opposite Rishi Kapoor in the romantic film, Bobby
(1973). The film was a great starting platform which also earned her a
Filmfare
Best Actress Award. After the film's release, Kapadia retired from
acting to concentrate on her marriage
to Rajesh Khanna and to raise her daughters, Twinkle and Rinke.
She eventually separated from Khanna in 1982, not completing the divorce
proceedings, and returned to the big screen with Zakhmi Sher (1984).
Kapadia continued to appear in successful films such as Saagar
(1985), Allah Rakha (1986), Ram Lakhan (1989), Batwaara
