Hans Raj Hans, a towering figure in the Punjabi music scene, has experienced a profound loss. The legendary singer, known for his soulful voice that has captivated audiences for years, has lost his beloved wife, Resham Kaur, to a prolonged illness. Reports indicate that Resham Kaur, 62, passed away on April 2, 2025, at a hospital in Jalandhar.

The Punjabi music world mourns the loss of Resham Kaur, the beloved wife of legendary singer Hans Raj Hans. Reports from publications like The Times of India and Republic World confirm that Kaur, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at around 1 PM in a Jalandhar hospital.

Kaur had been battling heart-related issues and was hospitalized at Tagore Hospital in Jalandhar, where she underwent a stent procedure. Despite receiving expert medical care, her condition unfortunately did not improve.

Resham's health, despite medical intervention, did not improve, and she passed away on Wednesday afternoon. According to her brother, Paramjit Singh, she had been hospitalized for five days leading up to her passing. Her funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am in Shafipur, the ancestral village of her husband, Hans Raj Hans.

Hans and Resham shared a loving marriage and had two talented sons, Navraj Hans and Yuvraj Hans, who have followed in their father's footsteps as singers. Last year, Yuvraj shared a heartwarming video with his mother on Mother's Day, capturing her playful spirit with a "flying chappal" treatment, a familiar tradition in many Indian households.

Resham Kaur's final farewell will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11 AM in her village of Safipur.
