Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal's Bhagam Bhag is making waves. The producers have given the green light for a sequel, but Govinda disclosed that he hasn't been contacted about the project.

In a chat with Mid-day, Govinda spilled the beans that he hasn't been signed up for the comedy sequel Bhagam Bhag 2. He said, “Nobody has approached me for Bhagam Bhag 2 or sat down for a discussion. There are stories of me doing not just Bhagam Bhag 2, but many other sequels, including Partner." India Today recently mentioned that the filming for Bhagam Bhag 2 is set to commence in 2025. However, many details are still under wraps.

India Today broke the news that the rights for the sequel of Bhagam Bhag were acquired by Sarita Ashwin Varde from Roaring River Productions, who is also actively involved in crafting the script. She will co-produce the film with Shemaroo. The article cited the film's team for this information, “Sarita agreed that they have taken a lot of time to design the sequel, but it’s finally coming out. Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as special, when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge."

The CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment, Hiren Gada, added, “We are excited to partner with an incredible team to create a film that will continue the legacy of its predecessor by bringing more laughter, fun and entertainment." The producers further ensured that Bhagam Bhag 2 is going to be ‘madder, crazier and funnier’. The film is expected to go on floor in mid 2025, and is likely to reunite Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Paresh Rawal in their popular roles.

Pinkvilla earlier reported “Akshay Kumar is now gearing up to reprise his role for Bhagam Bhag 2—a sequel that aims to capture the same comedic energy and charm as its predecessor. The rights for the film have reportedly been acquired by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions, who will be producing the sequel in association with Shemaroo Entertainment. The sequel is still in its early stages, with the script currently being developed by a fresh team of writers."
