Golmaal Returns Music Review

Golmaal Returns album's unique 'Hinglish' lyrics and rocking beats for every song will definitely thrill all party animals for sometime. After that, it will be very forgettable.

The album begins with Ashish Pandit composition ‘Tha Kar Ke’ which is sung by Neeraj, Anvesha, Aakariti, Earl and Indie. It’s a rocking party track formed by clubbing Jamaican and techno beats. This track reflects the theme of the movie; fun, dhamaal, frolic. The lyrics of the song are not that great but, as per the theme of the movie they gel well. The music arrangement is good.

The English rap between the songs has added up to its quality. The remix by DJ’s Nikhil and Naved is equally good, but it has more to do with beats rather than lyrics. This song will definitely make feets to tap the discotheques dancing floor.

‘Vacancy’ is a song about guys making attempt to impress their girls. Its ‘hinglish’ lyrics by Sameer are good. Their music arrangements are not that happening but this things get improved with its remix. The track also has a short excerpt from Anoushka Manchanda’s ‘Golmaal’ from the original film.

The next track ‘Tu Saala’ is performed by Anoushka Manchanda. The song is about a possessive and a suspicious girlfriend who loves her boyfriend but at the same time warns him that if he betrays her then his life will not be spared. The vocal is a quality addition to the song but the lyrics are not that good. The use of English excerpt in the song addifies. The music arrangement of the song is alright. However, the remix of the same is a good one compare to the original version.

‘MEOW’ though the name seems too weird the song is not that bad. Sameer lyrics for the song is alright but Pritam’s music is just fine. The track has a hindi and English version but both sounds similar as the hindi version because of extensive usage of English lyrics. In addition, it has a remix that is fine. . Indie, Suzy, Neeraj and Ashish have given vocals for the song.

The album closes with tracks from the prequel that include ‘Golmaal’ and its remixes. It is accompanied by the retro track ‘Aage peeche’ and
‘Rehja re’ remix version.

In all entire album is worth listening but will not have a long life in your music collection. Its unique ‘Hinglish’ lyrics and rocking beats for every song will definitely thrill all party animals for sometime. After that, it will be very forgettable.
