There was an internet rage amongst all the fans when the third season of GLOW premiered. Of course, not because the season was bad but in fact, it was good. The rage was about the fans already wanting a fourth season where they couldn't stop discussing how there should be a fourth season and it not, "we riot."

Their wishes have now come true as the show has been renewed for a fourth installment but also confirmed to be the last. According to Variety, series creators, executive producers, and showrunners Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch will return in those roles for the final season, along with executive producers Jenji Kohan, Tara Herrmann, and Mark Burley. The series stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron, Sydelle Noel, Kate Nash, Britney Young, Gayle Rankin, Kia Stevens, Sunita Mani among others.

The show is inspired by the short-lived 1980s wrestling TV show of the same name, which stood for “Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.” It follows the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the world of women’s wrestling.

Season 3, which debuted in August, saw the “GLOW” team relocate to Las Vegas to perform in their own nightly show. Geena Davis was among those to guest star in the season.

GLOW has been nominated for 15 Emmy Awards throughout its run, having won three.
