Giaa Manek on viral rap from Saath Nibhana Saathiya: I was taken aback, People making content on the show is a huge compliment for us

Saath Nibhana Saathiya has been one of the much talked about shows from Indian television and while it has definitely had its fair share of roasting and memes earlier, a rap video, courtesy creator Yashraj has been doing the rounds. The rap video features a scene with Rupal Patel aka Kokilaben, Giaa Manek aka Gopi, and Rucha aka Raashi. While memes, videos and similar creatives are nothing new these days, this one sure came out of the blue and for good. 

While Rupal Patel was overwhelmed with the response, we also got in touch with Giaa and she seems to be just as much overwhelmed as everyone else. She tells us, "Honestly, when I saw the rap, I was quite taken aback and of course, I have seen a lot of viral videos that have been made on Saathiya, but this was a different one from those that have happened earlier and I cannot imagine that somebody can think of something like this, to be added up into rap like that. It was something that I could never think of, and it really brought back a lot of memories."

She further added, "When I looked at the video, I also thought oh my god, I look so different in this, because it was 10 years back that we shot for this scene and all those on set memories, the fun we had while shooting, everything came back. I see how people are enjoying the video and there are lakhs of views on it and it made me go, 'Is this for real?' There was also pressure on me to share it on social media, Smriti Irani shared it. Back to back, so many things have been happening and I was also busy with Ganesh Chaturthi, even though it was all low profile, but I couldn't check a lot of social media and I came to know via my fans that this is trending, both Gopi and Rashi."

She also added how this feels like a compliment and is proof of the good work they have done, even after all this time. "I was like this came across as such a sweet shock, and I am extremely grateful for having gotten the opportunity to have gotten a part of the show and even though the show is over, there are creative minds who are wanting to make content from our show and that is a huge compliment for us," concluded Giaa.
