Getting popular, is Iira Soni..

Iira Soni, the actress who replaced Megha Gupta for the role of Neeti in the serial Kumkum is going great guns now! This actress from Bhuj, Gujarat had earlier appeared in “Woh Rehne Wali Mehlo Ki” and also was seen in a cameo in “Siddhanth”.

What made her opt for this role in the first place? “It’s a challenging role, as Neeti's character has many different shades to play. Moreover I started my Career with this same Production house - BAG. I worked with them in Siddhanth, and when I got this offer to play Neeti from the same Production house I decided to go for it”, says the actress. The story now has reached the point where Sharman has married Siya, who was his brother Dhruv's love. Interestingly poised is the track with Neeti after marrying Rahul, entering the Wadhwa House to cross swords with Kumkum. Though Iira refuses to divulge much on this part of the story line, she says, "There is much more to come, with Neeti going very aggressive".

One of the longest successfully running soaps in the afternoon slot, Kumkum has the best of the industry too in its cast. Iira is too happy to be a part of this show. “It’s a complete pleasure to work in a popular show like Kumkum. Hussein and Juhi are really very sweet and helpful. In fact they always bring life to the sets and make the working atmosphere so enjoyable. I have learnt a lot from them each day”, is the enthused reply we get from Iira. Interestingly Iira finds her onscreen character not totally different to her real self. “I would say Iira is more balanced as a person than Neeti. As far as closeness goes, well, both are Gujjus and also both are total extremists.”

This new generation actress in this popular soap has already made a mark on viewers. For her fans she has just one message, “I just want to say something I truly believe in...In life, walk straight and turn right! I love them all and hope they continue loving me as well.”
