Jasmin Bhasin opens up on being TROLLED for getting FILLERS: 'If something helps me feel more confident..'

Television star and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Jasmin Bhasin recently addressed the buzz around her alleged cosmetic procedures, including Botox and fillers. The chatter picked up steam a few months ago when a video surfaced online showing her with noticeably fuller lips, prompting social media users to speculate she had undergone enhancements.

In a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Jasmin didn’t shy away from confronting the topic head-on. Instead of brushing off the rumours, she chose to open up about how beauty standards in the entertainment industry affect personal choices and self-image. “Honestly, I don’t get why people are so concerned,” Jasmin said. “If something helps me feel more confident or improves my self-worth, why is that a problem? If I’ve gone through life feeling insecure about a certain thing and I decide to work on it, that’s my decision. Why should that be judged?”

The Bigg Boss 14 fame, emphasized that everyone has the right to feel good about themselves, whether through natural means or minor enhancements. “It’s not about changing who I am, it’s about feeling good in my own skin. And if someone believes they’ve done something they regret, that’s their journey to understand. But there’s no shame in doing something that makes you feel better about yourself.”

She also cleared the air about the recent lip enhancement rumours, saying there was a specific reason her lips looked different in that particular video. “I got a ton of comments like, ‘She’s done her lips,’ or ‘Something looks off.’ But the truth is, I had some swelling from an incident, and that day, my makeup artist had overlined my lips quite a bit. At the time, I liked how it looked—it reminded me of Instagram filters where lips appear more plump. But later, I realised it didn’t suit my face as much.”

Wrapping up the conversation, Jasmin added that aging naturally brings changes to one’s body and face, and some changes she may embrace as they come. Others she might choose for herself. “What matters most to me is feeling confident and beautiful in my own way. I’ll always strive to look my best—not for anyone else, but for myself. And if something ever does go wrong, then fine, troll me. But people will talk regardless, whether you do something or not.”

On the work front, while the actress has been a part of several hit Punjabi films, she was also last seen in Laughter Chefs 2, paired opposite beau Aly Goni.
