Geeks are an important part of our society. They are an unlimited source of entertainment and knowledge. If it wasn't for these geeks our world would be nave in the field of science and history. Indian Television has seen some really awesome geeks who have entertained us always. 25^th May being Geek pride day we compiled a list of the top 5 geeks of Tellywood.

1. Barbie Jain - Nisha aur uske Cousins

Barbie plays Jwala, a total nerd. Jwala is seen studying most of the time. She prefers her books instead of having fun with her cousins. Her mother Proudly brags about her marks! For her social life is a fictional novel!

2. Arjun Bijlani - Miley Jab Hum Tum

Arjun is set in the series as Mayank Sharma, a complete geek, though he was seen wearing cool outfits and not with big spectacles. He has been tagged Kitabi Keeda' by his friends on the show. Mayank is a silent lover; just like geeks are!

3. Vidya Balan- Hum Panch

Vidya Balan replaced Amita Nangia who played the role of Radhika Mathur. Radhika was a bookworm. She used a hearing aid and had nerdy stereotypes like bumping into random stuff and anything related to history or science caught her eye.

4. Mona Jaswir Singh - Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi

Jassi is the most iconic role that Mona Singh has played. The Large frame glasses, The slick hair Ponytail, the orthodox dressing style and braced teeth made Mona look like a perfect geek!

5. Mukesh Khanna - Shaktimaan

In case you didn't know "Gangadhar hi Shaktimaan hai!!!" Mukesh Khanna played the role of 'Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkaar Nath Shastri' in the series. The name is short and sweet isn't it? Shaktimaan was not a Geek but what's the best way to cover up your secret superhero identity? Put on big glasses, a mushroom cut and rabbit teeth! Gangadhar was the most entertaining nerd of all times!

6. Sanaya Irani â€“ Miley Jab Hum Tum

Nicknamed as Chashmish, Sanaya was a very obedient student. Her attire and nerdy glasses looked great on her and did an awesome job of making her more lovable in her geek avtar.Well, we can surely say that she was the cutest geek on Indian Television!

These are some of the most iconic characters of Indian tv and the next time you see a geek, don't judge him/her and become friends with him. You will be amazed!
