Gaurav Taneja-Ritu Rathee & Aashna Hegde become first Indian creators to walk for New York Fashion Week

Social media has turned out to be a boon for every creator out there. It is definitely not just a platform that talks about ‘numbers’ but is also proving to be a turning point in the lives of many influencers.

Well, making us all proud, Gaurav Taneja who is also popularly known as Flying beast will be seen walking the New York Fashion week runaway along with his wife Ritu Rathee. Not just Gaurav and Ritu, Mumbai based influencer Aashna Hegde too be will be seen walking the runaway for New York fashion week. What makes all of us even more proud is that the three of them are the first Indian creators who will be seen walking the ramp for New York fashion week. They will represent the designs of Archana Kochhar which have been selected to represent the ‘Make in India’ campaign which was introduced by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2014.

Talking to a leading media daily, the influencer couple Gaurav and Ritu said, “We are extremely excited to be making our international inaugural fashion innings at New York Fashion Week as the first content creator couple from India. It is an honour to be handpicked from the Indian content creator community to represent India on the world stage. It’s so heart-warming to see such great reception and this association truly showcases the advent of the content creator community in recent times. We hope our participation in his runway will open up many more avenues for the influencer community of India.”

On the other hand, Aashna too expressed her happiness talking to a leading media daily and said, “New York Fashion Week is the most iconic event of the fashion world and this feels like a ‘dream come true’ moment for me! I have been an ardent fashion enthusiast and have always wanted to bring to the fore my experimental fashion persona on the global stage. It’s such an honour to represent the Indian fashion community on such a global stage and help leverage the cause of sustainability.”
