Gaurav Khanna ACCUSED Of Copying US-Based Chef's Dessert, Amidst Celebrity MasterChef Finale Buzz

Popular TV actor and Celebrity MasterChef India, Gaurav Khanna has found himself at the center of a plagiarism controversy just as the show is approaching its grand finale. While Khanna has been impressing judges with his culinary skills, social media users have accused him of copying a dessert dish created by a Switzerland-based chef.

In a recent episode, Khanna wowed judges Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna with a honey-dripping dessert. However, viewers quickly noticed a striking resemblance between Khanna's creation and a dessert previously shared on the Instagram feed of Swiss chef Dives Josh.

Josh, known for his innovative desserts, took to Instagram to address the resemblance. Sharing a promo clip of Khanna's dessert on his story, Josh wrote, “Well done, so creative…" accompanied by a cheeky emoji. In another story, he posted his original creation with the caption “the original.”

This subtle shade from Josh has further fueled the debate on social media, with some defending Khanna and others criticizing him for allegedly copying the chef's work.

Meanwhile, in the promo, Ranveer Brar was clearly blown away by the presentation. Mesmerized by the visuals, he said, “Yeh dessert zinda hai, drop by drop," admitting he was totally speechless for a moment.

There are times when I feel like I’ve seen everything and it’s just a repeat. But this… this is something new. Yeh nahi expect kiya tha." Ranveer added with a smile, “Ek hi dil hai dost, kitni baar jeetoge?"

Vikas was so moved by the dish’s appearance that he dropped his spoon in admiration before even tasting it, while Ranveer gave the dessert a spoon tap as a gesture of appreciation. Rajiv Adatia, Gaurav's co-contestant, was so overwhelmed by the moment that he walked away from the cameras, humorously exclaiming, "I'm outta here!"
