Women in India have a lot of rules and conformities to abide by; while on one side they are expected to always be the submissive one, on the other, they are also disregarded when they give in.

Gauahar Khan's latest short film 'Peanut Butter' has touched upon one of the most 'hushed-hushed' topics in the society - Being a single mother!
The story:
The film is a coming of age story of how Priya Mathur (Gauahar Khan) deals with the thoughts that cross her mind when she discovers that she's pregnant. How she contemplates upon her thoughts has a rather funny take to it.

What happens is while struggling with her thoughts of aborting or not aborting the child, Priya has an encounter with the future version of her son, Rohan who enters her house asking for 'Peanut Butter!'

After having spent a day with him, living through the moments she would have if she keeps the baby, and, understanding the entire situation a little more, she decides not abort the baby.

Priya's philosophy of the struggles of 'being a pretty, successful, and single woman' in this cruel world breaks through when she realizes that these are the problems that'll exist even if she decides to abort the baby. The one thing that motivates her is how she'll have Rohan to complete her world, and how she does not need to conform to the society. And, that's when she truly becomes Free!
