From Fit to Fierce: Gurmeet Choudhary Sheds 10kg for a Riveting Return in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2

Gurmeet Choudhary, a prominent name in the television industry, has been making waves in the OTT space following his debut with Commander Karan Saxena earlier this year. The actor is now carving a niche for himself with his latest release, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2, on Netflix. Reportedly, Gurmeet underwent a dramatic transformation to embody the complex and powerful character of Guru in the series, shedding 10 kilograms in the process.

Discussing his preparation, Gurmeet revealed the extent of his efforts to bring the character to life. As per a report by Times Now, he attended intensive acting workshops, adopted a strict diet, and even trimmed his signature long locks. His routine also included daily sprints in Bandra, which significantly contributed to his weight loss. “Portraying Guru was both challenging and exhilarating. My director, Siddharth Sengupta, had a clear vision for the character, which required me to prepare extensively," he shared, adding that the process was immensely rewarding and that he is grateful for the director's trust in him.

In a prior interview with MidDay, Gurmeet reflected on the demanding stunts he performed for the series. “The first day when we shot the scene of me jumping off of a cliff, I was 500 feet in the air, held by a harness, and had to jump off and land on my feet while holding two guns. It almost felt like my mission impossible moment," he revealed. The actor added that the stunt was executed successfully despite the nervousness on set, noting that there was no stunt double involved, and the shoot schedule was packed.

Gurmeet Choudhary first rose to fame with his portrayal of Lord Ram in the 2009 television series Ramayan, where he starred alongside his wife, Debina Bonnerjee. He made his Bollywood debut in 2015 with the psychological thriller Khamoshiyan.
