Khakee and A Wednesday

Who is the origin of an original idea? Only a few can create a story from scratch and tell it to the audience in a true, accurate, and authentic manner. However, Friday Storytellers are experts in providing the audience with fresh and original content. And with shows and movies like Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, Kaun Pravin Tambe?, Bandon Mei Tha Dum, and Khakee- The Bihar Chapter, they have repeatedly positioned themselves as one of the producers who are proactive in showcasing stories that have never seen the light of the day.

So far, every content that FFS has delivered has been on the top of the most-watched list. And each piece of content is later adapted into different forms of storytelling by other producers and directors, making them the origin and the originals. For example with ‘Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story’, as much as the audience hailed the originality of the story, they loved the captivating plot and Neeraj Pandey's outstanding command of the spy genre. Correspondingly for the recently released Khakee- The Bihar Chapter, the story underlines the story of Bihar where Sheikhpura IPS Amit Lodha brings the Ashok Mahto gang to justice while navigating his issues. And with stories like Special 26, FFS truly brought one of its kind story based on the 1987 Opera House heist. Released in 2013, the film came to the theaters as an unexpected twist that just made noise for its simple yet interesting story.

Remembering A Wednesday, a critically acclaimed film from 2008 is one of the most rewatchable films ever made in the history of cinema. This excellent screenplay and storyline by Neeraj Pandey gripped audiences till the end and kept them on the edges of their seats throughout. So far, nobody has ever delivered content as original as such. The idea of awakening the common man to revolt after he suffers from a personal loss was put well across the storyline which touched viewers across the nation. There are many such stories that FFS has time and again explored and will explore in the future. Today, it's hard to find filmmakers who offer original content but when it comes to Friday Storytellers, OG is more like their watchword.
