Format Change in Amul Star Voice of India...

Amidst hue and cry coming from parents of eliminated contestants and from the host Shaan, Amul SVOI introduces a new format and brings in two talented contestants thro' Wild Card...

Star Plus' latest reality show, Amul Voice of India is filled with controversies as not only the eliminated contestants and their parents but also the host, Shaan, express their displeasure over the current format of the show.

Shaan felt the format of the show has severely deteriorated since the last season. He believes that a lot of talented contestants have been unfairly eliminated from the show, as he says, “Some contestants who do not deserve to be in the show are still going strong while the real talent is being eliminated”. He adds further, “It is very unfair to these contestants as they are eliminated not on the basis of talent but due to audience votes”. Shaan's agitation began when the three top contestants, namely Mallar from Kolkatta, Rahul from Maharashtra and Shradhha from Jharkand were the first to be eliminated from the Bemisaal Barah. Shaan was furious and threatened to leave the show if undeserving participants continued receiving undue publicity and promotion.

The eliminated contestants and their parents had the same complaint and stated that more sympathy votes came in for  Zakir owing to his physical handicap. They also claimed that Zakir has a limited range of Songs (only Mohd. Rafi's songs). They are confident that he has made it this far in the show due to pity votes and judges' partiality. Shradhha’s father goes on to say, “My family expected Shradhha to go ahead in the competition. Very few people from Jharkand are actually supporting her. I personally feel that the judges are the audience and the decision of elimination should be left to them”. Parents felt that the half and half pattern of voting leaves the results skewed and the talented ones are thrown out.

This week’s Freaky Friday will see the elimination of Zakir Husain from Chatisgarh and Vipul Mehta from Punjab. But come Saturday, a change in the voting pattern will be announced wherein 100% rights will be given to the judges to bring in Wild Cards.

And with no public voting, Saturday will see the return of the talented Vipul Mehta and Mallar Karmarkar from West Bengal as Wild Card Entrants....

We have seen mishaps in many shows... Indian Idol 2 and 3 have been disaster for final results. Public king hai but emotionak hai.. and the people who really watch and vote are not the once who can judge farely.

It should be like many other shows where a ratign is provided on public voting .. it works.

Or a region wise credit points should be given like voted coming from opposite region should be given higher credibility .. something like that
