'Fighter' Box Office Day 6: Film continues to be steady but on the lower side

In the dynamic landscape of the Bollywood box office, Siddharth Anand's "Fighter" continues to navigate its trajectory, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. After a reasonable opening weekend, the aerial action thriller experienced a significant drop in collections on Monday, earning around Rs 7.25 crores. However, the film showcased resilience on Tuesday by maintaining identical collections as Monday, signalling a steady hold at lower levels.

The total collections for "Fighter" now stand at approximately Rs 133 crores, with expectations of the extended first week crossing Rs 140 crores nett. While the film may not have met the initial expectations, it has found appreciation in high-end multiplexes in metros, where it is currently drawing a majority of its numbers.

The steady hold on Tuesday is viewed as a positive sign for "Fighter," indicating a potential for growth in the second weekend, particularly with the metros constituting a larger audience segment during weekends. If the film maintains collections above Rs 6 crores on Thursday, it is poised for a successful extended first week at the box office.

Looking ahead, "Fighter" faces no new competition, and with consistent performance, it aims to target a second-week collection of around Rs 35 crores. While the domestic box office may not have reached the anticipated heights, internationally, "Fighter" has fared well, grossing over 7.5 million dollars in six days.

The film's global gross takings are expected to surpass 10 million dollars, approaching the 12 million dollars milestone. Despite not reaching the earlier projected figures, the Rs 300 crore gross worldwide mark remains a notable milestone for the January 2024 release.
