Fawad Khan Wins Vaani Kapoor’s Heart with His Humble Attitude Ahead of Abir Gulaal Release

Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan are all set to hit the big screen together in their upcoming film Abir Gulaal, releasing on May 9, 2025. Before the film’s release, the duo gave fans a delightful sneak peek into their bonding through an Instagram Live session. The chat was full of fun, humour, and heartfelt praise for each other.

During the live, Vaani opened up about working with the Pakistani star and had nothing but kind words. She said, “He is one of a kind, I feel. I'm getting greedy, and I hope someday again I get this opportunity. He is easy, has no ego, and no hassle.” She further praised his effortless acting style, saying, “I love the way you very organically say your lines, because it looks very natural - doesn’t look performative and rehearsed.”

Fawad, too, was full of appreciation for Vaani. When she asked him how it was working with her, he smiled and said, “Guys, it’s amazing working with Vaani.” In a playful tone, she joked, “Mene bohot tolerate kiya Fawad ko.” Fawad laughed and replied, “Abhi toh main jhuth hi bolunga.” He added, “It’s been an absolute pleasure. While Abir Gulaal has generated buzz for its fresh pairing, it has also stirred controversy. The MNS has opposed the film’s release in Maharashtra due to Fawad Khan’s Pakistani background. Leader Ameya Khopkar stated, “We will not allow any film featuring Pakistani artists to be released in Maharashtra. I dare them to release it.”

Despite the opposition, the film’s star duo continues to win hearts with their honesty, humour, and clear admiration for each other.
