The Pahalgam attack, a horrific act of terrorism that claimed the lives of at least 27 innocent tourists, has left the nation reeling in shock and grief. This senseless violence, perpetrated by a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) linked group, targeted families and children enjoying their vacation in Kashmir. The entire country mourns the loss of these lives, and actress Ridhi Dogra, known for her role in the upcoming film "Abir Gulaal," expressed her grief over the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, on April 22. In a tweet, she called for a stronger condemnation of the attack from within the Muslim community.

Break ties with people and places that remain silent or deep down have ties elsewhere. Because repeatedly Terror is coming from one place. They’re ruining humanity. They’re ruining faith. Stop being gracious to monsters in the name of humanity. Stand up for India..

Ridhi Dogra's comments come at a time when the film "Abir Gulaal" is facing controversy due to Fawad Khan's casting, reigniting debates about Bollywood's relationship with Pakistani artists amidst heightened cross-border tensions.
Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, the lead actors of "Abir Gulaal," also expressed their sorrow over the attack. Fawad wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident and we pray for strength and healing for their families in this difficult time." Vaani echoed the sentiment, posting, “Have been numb, at a loss of words since the time I have seen the attack on innocent people in Pahalgam. Gutted. Devastated. My prayers are with the families."
"Abir Gulaal," directed by Aarti S Bagdi, has faced numerous challenges leading up to its May 9 release. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) previously protested the film's release in the state, citing Fawad's Pakistani nationality as their reason. Now, with the recent tragedy in Pahalgam intensifying the national sentiment, the film's release faces an increasingly uncertain future.
