Star Plus show ‘Anupamaa’ has been ruling the TRP charts since the time it began airing. The show has got immense love from the viewers. Recently, the show witnessed a new entrant which will mark the commencement of new chapter in Anupamaa’s life. Actor Gaurav Khanna entered the show as Anuj Kapadia. Anuj loved Anupamaa during his college days but couldn’t muster the courage of expressing the same to her. He didn’t move on romantically in his life and has been single.
Anuj has offered a business partnership to Anupamaa much to Baa, Kavya, Vanraj and Paritosh’s displeasure. While the other family members are elated to see Anupamaa’s growth, she is facing reluctance from some family members. Paritosh has stated that a mother can not have friends. He is visibly irked with Anuj ending up at Shah house every now and then. He doesn’t like Anuj even one bit and has decided to not let her mother work with him.
India Forums got in touch with actor Aashish Mehrotra who plays the character of Paritosh in the show. We asked the handsome lad about the response that he has been getting from the current track of the show. He said, “People are abusing me (laughs). People who’ve known me for who I’m, who’ followed me throughout are also upset with Paritosh. They’ve stated that I shouldn’t create obstacles for Anupamaa-Anuj and should not misbehave with Anupamaa. Some have also suggested me to speak to the makers and change my character so that Paritosh has a more positive approach”.
“I enjoy the negative comments as well because it just makes me believe that I’m doing justice with my character”, he added
We asked him about his views on a woman finding love at 40s, he said, “Contrary to my onscreen character, I personally feel there shouldn’t be a problem for a woman giving love another chance at 40 because, I feel love comes in people’s life irrespective of their age and situations. It’s no harm in it and one shouldn’t think about the societal pressures when it comes to accepting love”.
