On October 27, Jay Shah, BCCI secretary, announced a policy of ‘equal pay’ for both Indian men and women cricketers. Many celebrities have praised the decision and now popular actor Aakash Ahuja also shared his opinion regarding the decision.

While praising the decision, Aakash said, "I am a huge fan of our women's cricket team and this is a very progressive decision to acknowledge the fact that our Indian women's cricket team has done so well in the recent past. This decision will have a very positive impact on the grassroots as well, because it will act as a motivating factor for all the little girls who are willing to dream big and play for the country one day. This will also act as a template for other sports and sectors. Personally, I believe that this is a timely decision because it's better to be late than never."

Aakash further adds, "As a society, we can only achieve maximum potential if we provide equal rights for men and women. On a side note, Smiti Mandhana has the best cover drive in the world. It feels brilliant to see India paving the way forward."

Aakash, who is all set to be seen in Star Plus' new show Faltu, further says, "I hope that the audience enjoy my new show, faltu, which shows a beautiful and arduous journey of a little girl who comes from a regressive background and dreams to play for India one day."

Professionally, Aakash was last seen in Thapki Pyaar Ki 2. In 2019, he made his debut on the big screen by playing the negative lead in the movie ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’. Apart from the above, he was also a part of projects like ‘O Gujariya: Badlenge Chal Duniya’ and ‘Qubool Hai’.
