Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the biggest Indian festivals which commemorates the birth of Lord Ganesha. People celebrate this auspicious festival with a lot of fervour and enthusiasm. Fondly called as Ganpati Bappa, the Elephant God is considered as the God of beginnings and the remover of obstacles. People bring home the idol and invite all their family and friends. This occasion is the forerunner of prayers, unity, peace, loads of good food, and warm get-togethers.

Mumbai is ready to celebrate it in a big way this time after two-and-a-half years of Covid related restrictions. The spirits are high as everyone is preparing for the festival. India Forums got in touch with popular actress Aishwarya Sharma and asked her about her plans for Ganesh Chaturthi.

We had got a holiday and Neil and I visited our family and friends’ houses for Ganpati darshan. We had an off and we also came to the sets for the darshan. I hope to have a same kind of celebration this time around as well as I’m excited for Ganpati darshan at our family and friends’ places. Here’s wishing everyone a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganpati Bappa, Morya!

There’s a lot of positivity around this festival and the fact that we will be celebrating the festival in it’s true spirit post-covid makes it all the more special. There’s a different kind of energy among the people for the Ganpati festival. I remember, last year, we brought Ganpati idol on our sets for ten days and those days were filled with positivity and love.
