Fashion Police was present at the event to see the off-ramp hits and misses of the celebs.

There are so many events happening everyday around Tinsel Town, but when it is held to launch one of the leading directors of Bollywood's clothing range, the shine of the event is bound to be increased by the stars present there. Recently, the fashion house Vero Moda launched a new collection designed by Karan Johar and the launch had many stars attending the event to support the collection and the designer. Fashion Police was also present there to see the off-ramp hits and misses of the celebs.

Shamita Shetty

Shamita was spotted wearing a lace-neck Forever New dress. The combination of the black lace and white dress is nothing new. Paired with a black clutch, black pump heels and a white bracelet as an accessory, the look was simple and this Shetty sister played it safe. Keeping in mind the nature of the event, we would say that it was a simple which worked. Though some vibrant colour would have been much appreciated. BollyCurry Rating: 3/5

Huma Qureshi

Another black and white appearance of the night. Huma Qureshi was seen donning a black Varun Bahl satin jacket with white H&M pants. The bright of red lipstick gives the look a colour which is much liked. While the black heels also work well with the dress, the big Rara Avis clutch seems too overpowering and diverts one's attention all towards it and away from the actual look. The bright colours of the clutch are all well and good but the size is a tad too big to go perfectly with the dress - take it away and the look is carried confidently and gorgeously by Qureshi. Sonal Chauhan

This stunning beauty opted for Alice + Olivia separates for the event. There was an obvious fitting issue with the top which was hard to ignore but otherwise, she looked quite nice. It seemed like she wanted to for a sexy yet formal look and she pulled it off but just not quite. The beige pumps worked well with her skin tone and the dress but the fitting issue of the top added to the somewhat boring ponytail hairstyle made the look a bit forgettable. BollyCurry Rating: 2/5

Saqib Saleem

Saqib Saleem had also attended the event alongside his sister. He was seen wearing a black jacket over a black shirt and caramel dark caramel pants. The dark of the shirt and jacket paired with the bright of the pants was a good combination. While it might have been a disaster on some, Saqib carried off the look quite well. It's just the bright red handkerchief which serves as a distraction but overall, the look was decent and suave. BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5

Varun Dhawan

Karan Johar's very own "student" attended the event in a blue jacket over white shirt and dark grey pants. The look was meant to be a mix of formal and coolly casual with the blue shoes serving the purpose of the latter. While the intention is surely to be applauded, this whole fusion of sorts didn't work out quite so well. Knowing Varun, he could have done much better had he gone for a look that leaned more towards the casual side rather than a mix of two complete opposite looks. This time, alas, he failed to deliver a punch. BollyCurry Rating: 2/5

Neha Dhupia

Looking all dramatic, Neha Dhupia attended the event in distressed denims over a tank with a Royal Nilgiri jacket. Hair pulled back, sleeves of the jacket pulled up, smokey eyes and a Bottega Veneta clutch, this look was surely the most standout look of the evening. This look seemed to be chosen to make a statement and it can work, depending on personal preference really. It's just the colour effect on the crotch area of the denims which one can't look past. It drastically lowers the effect of the look and serves as a mega negative for the look. Kudos to Dhupia for doing something so different but one can't help but wish she had paid more attention to the obvious glitch of the denims. BollyCurry Rating: 1.5/5
