Even the blues are easy to take in my stride: Akshay Kumar wishes wife Twinkle on her birthday

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has the cutest wish for his wife and writer Twinkle Khanna's birthday today which made her day extra special.

Sharing a cute photo from their New Year's getaway, Akshay penned a love-filled message for the birthday girl.

The Atrangi Re actor captioned the picture saying,

"With you by my side, even the blues are easy to take in my stride… Happy birthday Tina," 

The couple is headed out for a quiet holiday with their daughter Nitara in the Maldives. The duo are among the few celeb couples who left town a week in advance to get the celebrations started.

While the actor is making most of his off-duty days, he is still making sure to keep up with his fitness routine as he took up cycling in the island nation.

The two stars have been treating their fans to some gorgeous glimpses from their holiday. 

When not sharing picture-perfect moments, the two have been posting videos of their fun-filled activities, including bike rides by the sea.

Twinkle also shares her birthdate with her father-superstar Rajesh Khanna

Taking to her Instagram account, the actress and author shared a throwback childhood photo and wrote,

“He always said I was the best present he could have ever received, as I tumbled feet first into the world on his birthday. A little star looking up at the biggest one in the galaxy. It’s our day together, now and forever.”

Meanwhile, Akshay closed off 2021 on a high. Besides recording the highest collection for a Bollywood film in 2021, the actor also had the biggest OTT release for his film 'Atrangi Re' that co-starred Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.
