Emraan pays tribute to Gulzar in 'Ek Thi Daayan'

Actor Emraan Hashmi has paid tribute to legendary lyricist Gulzar in "Ek Thi Daayan" and the director of the horror thriller Kannan Iyer says the sequence is presented in a realistic manner.

"Yes, in the film Emraan pays tribute to Gulzar saab in a sequence. We thought of a fresh way and made it look more realistic," Iyer told IANS.

In the song "Yaaram", Emraan pays tribute to Guljar. It is a party song, which will see the actor coming to the bash with a book written by Guljar, opening it and singing a song from the book.

"Instead of just having one of his songs, we have made it more realistic," he added.

Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj, "Ek Thi Daayan" also features Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi, among others. The film is slated for April 18 release.
