Ekta Kapoor posts as 'Kumkum Bhagya' becomes 1st Balaji show to complete 2000 episodes

Creator and producer Ekta Kapoor continues to be a legend, especially on the small screen where she is responsible for some of the most successful shows indeed. Already having several records of long-running shows to her name, the lady has just achieved another record, which is a first for her.

Kapoor's Zee TV show, Kumkum Bhagya has now officially become the first Balaji Telefims show to hit 2000 episodes. That's right. The Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha led show has been on the tube for eight years now and just hit 2000 episodes, which is indeed an amazing feat. Posting about the same, Kapoor captioned her Instagram post as, "It's your continued love and support over the last 27 years that has made all our efforts worth it. #2000EpisodesOfKumkumBhagya wouldn't have been possible without your blessings. With a heart full of gratitude, I thank each and everyone of you!"-

The team also celebrated the big milestone on the sets and cut a cake. Apart from the leads, the show has Krishna Kaul, Mugdha Chapekar and Pooja Banerjee. Over the years, the show has seen several leaps.The cast is absolutely ecstatic for the long run they have enjoyed on television.
