"Downloaded the wrong 'Animal'"-fans draw parallel between 'Animal' fight scene to Bobby Deol's film, 'Aashiq'

The fan would go on to post a clip of that fight sequence where Deol's character is fighting actor Rahul Dev's character on an airport runway with planes in the background.

The rage that Animal sparked over a month ago has continued to be a factor even right now as fans continue to talk about it in one way or another. And what is amazing is that in spite of having just two to three scenes, it is Bobby Deol who is at the centre of all these viral moments. Right from the viral entry song, Jamal Kudu, to Deol's Abrar moment with the knife and gestures - fans certainly cannot get enough of it.

And it seems like the Animal rage has led people to dig deeper and explore 'Lord Bobby' (as he affectionately called on social media) even more. Deol spawns a nearly three-decade-long career and even his flop films from back then are now suddenly finding an audience.

On that note, an interesting observation was made when a particular fan went on to draw a parallel between the iconic Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol's fight sequence in Animal with Deol's fight sequence in his 2001 film, Aashiq. The fan would go on to post a clip of that fight sequence where Deol's character is fighting actor Rahul Dev's character on an airport runway with planes in the background. The fan wittily captioned it as 'I think I downloaded the wrong 'Animal'"-

As one can see there is indeed some similarities between the two scenes where apart from the common factor being Deol, it is on a setting with an airplane in the background and Rahul Dev, the bad guy in the film, is also shirtless and maniacal as fights the hero.

One Redditor expressed confidence, stating, "I am 100% sure Vanga saw this before shooting/thinking about that Animal scene." Another playfully remarked, "Lord Bobby meets Lord Rahul. I strongly believe Vanga is a Lord Bobby fan. Aashiq was our 'Animal' back in the day." The comments continue, with fans sharing their observations and nostalgia, such as, "Abrar origin story," "I KNEW it wasn’t deja vu!!!!!!! In the cinema, I kept thinking I’ve seen this before!" and "The similarity is uncanny."

Interestingly, ever since the film's release, fans have drawn comparisons for other scenes as well, where the Rashmika Mandanna and Ranbir Kapoor's plane scene was said to be similar to a 50 Shades of Grey scene and the teaser scene that is also the beginning of 'Arjan Vaily' song was compared to the scene in the film, Oldboy.

Animal has grossed over 540 crores at the domestic box office.
