Diya Aur Baati Hum actress bags The Kapil Sharma Show!

Never in your wildest dreams would you have believed that Kanika Maheshwari, who is currently seen in Diya Aur Baati Hum will share screen space with none other than Kapil Sharma. Yes, the actress is all set to enter The Kapil Sharma Show. 

According to reports in a leading daily, this role is the same that was offered to Shilpa Shinde but due to her issues with her Bhabhi Ji makers, Shilpa was dropped out from the project.  

Kanika will be playing the role of a sexy Bhabhi on the show. However, more details of her role could not be revealed. It is also still unclear as to whether Kanika will be a part of the show for a long time or will she just do a few episodes of the series. The actress is expected to start shooting for the show very soon. 

The role has come to Kanika at the right time amid reports of Diya Aur Baati Hum going off-air. 

Kanika confirmed the development to a leading daily and was quoted as saying that the role that was offered to her was very good.
