Director Gnana Rajasekaran, who is making a biopic on the life of mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan, has shot some parts of the film in Cambridge.

Titled "Ramanujan", the period film based in the 1900s era talks about Ramanujan's journey from Kumbakonam (in Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu) to Cambridge.

Ramanujan was at Trinity for five years, where his quintessential contribution to mathematics got him elected a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge and Fellow of The Royal Society, London, said a statement.

Produced by Camphor Cinema, the Indo-British collaboration.

"Two schedules of the film were shot in India and the third in England where a reversal of languages and cultures and translations conquered. What a delight it is to live in this world where languages are not borders, but an element to experiment with," Sindhu Rajasekaran, producer said in a statement.

In the film, southern actor Abhinay Vaddi is playing the title role. It also features Bhama, Suhasini Mani Ratnam and British actor Kevin McGowan.

The movie is being simultaneously shot in Tamil and English.
